Predicted Real Madrid Line-up To Face Gremio In The FIFA Club World Cup Final

Real Madrid will look to claim their 5th trophy of 2017, when they face off against Brazilian side Gremio in the finals of the FIFA Club World Cup on Saturday.

Los Galacticos made it to the finals of the competition after a comeback 2-1 win over Al Jazira on Wednesday and manager Zinedine Zidane will be keen on adding another trophy to his already loaded cabinet with a win over the Brazilians, who defeated Pachuca 1-0 in their semi-final game earlier this week on Tuesday.

Team News

Zidane has picked his entire first-team squad for the tournament and fielded a fairly strong side against Al Jazira earlier this week and is expected to do so once again, despite the El Clasico waiting up next after this clash. Captain Sergio Ramos is likely to miss out again though, following his injury in training.

Here’s how Los Blancos might line up against Gremio on Saturday:

Manager: Zinedine Zidane

Formation: 4-4-2 (Diamond)

Keylor Navas (GK)

The Costa Rican international should start in goal for the Spanish capital side as they look to add another silverware to the cabinet.

Dani Carvajal (RB)

The Spaniard did not feature in the semi-finals, but could be in line for a start, in place of youngster Achraf Hakimi.

Raphael Varane (CB)

The 24-year old Frenchman should keep his place in the heart of the defence for the finals against Gremio.

Marcelo

Nacho (CB)

With Sergio Ramos set to miss out again, utility man Nacho should start alongside Varane for Saturday’s encounter.

Marcelo (LB)

And completing the back four for the Galacticos should be Marcelo. Will act as a key attacking outlet for Zidane’s side with his forward forays.

Luka Modric (CM)

One of the best in the business, Croatian midfielder Luka Modric is a definite starter for Madrid as they look to retain the Club World Cup title.

Casemiro (DM)

The Brazilian midfielder should start as the deepest of the midfielders for the Spanish side and provide the defensive shield to his back four.

Toni Kroos (CM)

The former Bayern Munich midfielder will look to provide the creative influence from the middle of the park against the Brazilian side.

Cristiano Ronaldo

Isco (CAM)

In the hole behind the strikers, Spanish attacking midfielder Isco should get the nod once again on Saturday.

Gareth Bale (ST)

The Welshman made an impact after coming on from the bench in the semi-finals, as he went on to score the winner. Should start on Saturday.

Cristiano Ronaldo (ST)

Scored the other goal in semi-finals that made him the highest-ever goal-scorer in the competition. Will look to make a greater impact and lead his side to more glory on Saturday.
