Lazio recently had talks with Italy international Mario Balotelli’s agent, Mino Raiola, confirming that the Serie A side will sign him on loan for the upcoming season, if and only if, they manage to qualify for the Champions League. The Italian outfit will be taking part in a qualifying game that will determine whether or not they will be playing Europe’s elite competition though they might have to face the likes of Manchester United.
If they end up losing instead, they might have to participate in the Europa League and will not feel the need to bring Balotelli to Italy then.
The Daily Mirror further stated that the club have informed Raiola about their intentions to sign the 24-year-old striker, who has been poor in his debut season at Anfield and seems bound for an exit.
