Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain have been trying hard to sign Argentine international Angel di Maria for quite some time now. Also, over the weekend manager Laurent Blanc spoke to the press ahead of his side’s clash against Portuguese outfit Benfica and confirmed that the Parisians would love to land bring Di Maria to France this summer.
Reports from Paris have been flooding in stating that PSG are favourites to sign the 27-year-old superstar and that the winger had already agreed personal terms. Further, as Blanc spoke to the media, he stated, “If this player left England, you can think that other big teams would be interested, Paris Saint-Germain is one of them. It’s going to be a tough game, provided that the player leaves. We are following this case with great interest.”
L’Equipe on Sunday also confirmed that the Red Devils would sell if the French outfit were prepared to spend big money for the former Real Madrid star and would demand a €75m asking price.
Also, the report added that Bayern Munich, Manchester City or even “some Spanish clubs” were said to be interested in Di Maria’s services and could possibly join the race as well.
