Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke is due to have a medical at Liverpool after they reached an agreement for a fee of £32.5m, reports BBC. The Reds have gone all out and splashed the cash they received for Sterling to re-group their attacking prowess with the 24-year old Belgian.
Benteke has scored 49 goals in 101 games during his time at Villa park and was crucial during their relegation battle last season scoring 12 goals in the last 12 games to save Tim Sherwood’s side from the drop.
He has been a hit and miss throughout his time in the Premier League and there has been a lot of comments made on Liverpool’s decision to spend such a huge amount on the Belgian. Here are some of the reactions from Twitter,
