Manchester United has made three decent purchases this summer and more are expected. While several players have been linked with a move to Old Trafford, and some of them are big names, looks like Raphael Varane is not going to be one of them.
In a recent interview with Marca, the French defender has told the magazine that he wants to stay at Real Madrid this year. Jose Mourinho is said to be a big fan of the player and the Red Devils were reportedly interested in signing him in the summer. The Old Trafford outfit has already signed Eric Bailly from Villareal but Mourinho is reportedly looking to sign another center back before the 31st of August.
However, the statement from Varane comes as a major blow since Varane has been considered since long that he is one of the best defenders in the Europe. However due to the presence of Pepe and Sergio Ramos he has been facing difficulty to find more game time at Real Madrid. Looks like that is not enough for him to look for an exit.
