WOW! Liverpool Officials In Spain To Sign A Winger, Ahead Of Manchester United

Liverpool Transfer Updates

Merseyside club Liverpool are now on the verge of completing a deal for Barcelona’s Adama Traore, according to recent claims. Local reports suggested that officials from Anfield were in Spain to have talks and discuss a loan deal for the 19-year-old superstar. Further, Catalan radio stations also confirmed the same news, as Kop boss Brendan Rodgers could use the youngster in place of Raheem Sterling, who joined Manchester City earlier this summer.

The 19-year-old winger made his debut for Barcelona in the 2013/14 season, yet has only been part of the B team since then, who were relegated to the Spanish third tier in the previous term.

The winger managed three goals for the Barca B side, with 14 assists in 37 appearances, but has failed to find first-team opportunities for the main team, due to the star-studded lineup that the European champions have at the moment.

The Reds could be set to complete a move, as they can offer the former Spanish U-19 international regular first team football as they need wingers since Sterling’s £49m move to City.

However, Spanish publication Sport reported that Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal also tried to sign him last season and might make an offer once again. Apart from the Red Devils, Everton were also looking to sign him as a potential replacement for Gerard Deulofeu, with Stoke City keen too.
