Chelsea Should Sign The £85 Million-Rated Gareth Bale From Real Madrid And Here’s Why

Gareth Bale is a top-class player and has proven his worth at Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid over the years. He was tipped to reach the levels of superstars like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi but his never-ending tryst with injuries have stunted his growth. His career, at present, almost seems like an endless saga of him recovering from one injury, only to pick up another one in a matter of weeks.

His absence often ends up putting stress on Real Madrid and the reigning European champions could offload the forward in January. Valued at £85m, Bale is likely to return to the Premier League, and while he is being targeted by his former club Tottenham and Manchester United, the Welshman might end up moving to Chelsea.

The Blues have not started the new campaign as strongly they might have liked to, but their win against Manchester United will be a step in the right direction. Although former Real Madrid star Alvaro Morata scored the only goal of the match to seal a victory for Chelsea, there have been concerns over the player’s form in general. He has not been poor but he has not been at his best either.

In fact, it seems like Chelsea are unable to cope with the absence of Diego Costa’s blistering aggression up front. His impact at the Stamford Bridge club remains unparalleled and Chelsea need somebody of his calibre to fill the void. And that is where Bale’s power could help them.

When fit, Bale is unstoppable and has the potential to wreak havoc upon even the strongest of defences. If he joined Chelsea, the Real Madrid man could play on the opposite wing of Eden Hazard. His solidity would provide balance, and his versatility can also help Antonio Conte since he can easily switch sides and come inside if needed. However, one needs to bear in mind that Bale’s recent injury could see him be sidelined for quite some time. It might be a while before the former Tottenham player gets back to match fitness but he will be a long-term investment for the Blues.

There is a long way to go before the season ends and Chelsea can certainly hope to salvage their season. However, for that, they will need more power in their attack. Fighting off interest from their rivals can be tough but considering the prize that Bale is, the Blues should be prepared to tackle it all.
