Watch Out For This Tottenham And Crystal Palace Stars In The Fantasy Premier League This Week

fpl

The weekend is here and so is Premier League. Six of the premier clubs took part in the European competitions this week and they are back. Players from the big clubs may get rested, so the managers has to be careful while making their transfers. We are back with a list of players to watch out this week.

The Goalkeepers

1. Jack Butland:

Stoke has not yet won a game and also has not kept a clean sheet so far, but the Stoke number one has done all that he could to help his team. He is rated at 4.5 and is selected by 7.1% of the FPL managers. He is at the top of the ‘most saves’ table with 27 saves. Stoke is playing Leicester at home and with the kind of form that Leicester is in, it is likely that Stoke won’t keep a clean sheet, but Butland guarantees some amount of saves and you can expect atleast 4 points from him this week. There are no much guaranteed goalkeepers this week to play.

2. Heurelho Gomes:

The Watford number one has kept 3 clean sheets so far and many of us has not recognized that. Watford is playing Newcastle away this week. There are high chances of him keeping a clean sheet considering the fact that Newcastle has only scored in one match so far this season. Gomes is rated at 4.5 and is selected by only 2.1% of the FPL managers.

The Defenders

1. Martin Demichelis:

The Manchester City defender has not started any of the games so far. We cannot expect that to happen, when Kompany and Mangala are dominating the defense. But this week Kompany is ruled out due to an injury and Mangala may get rested, because he has played each and every minute of City’s games this season, including this week’s champion’s League match against Juventus. So this week it may be Otamendi and Demichelis who starts for Manchester City.

Demichelis is rate at 5.4 and is owned only by 0.1% of the FPL managers. Manchester City is playing West Ham at home this week and the league leaders are expected to win the match. West Ham has scored 11 goals so far this season and City is yet to concede a goal in the premier league.

2. Craig Dawson:

The West Brom defender is rated at 5.0 and is owned only by 1.2% of the FPL managers. West Brom is playing Aston Villa away. Pulis’ defensive side could get a clean sheet against Aston Villa through his ‘too defnsive’ tactics making it their 4th clean sheet of the season.

The Mid-fielders

1. Jason Puncheon:

Puncheon is playing his former side Tottenham away this week. Crystal Palace has been an impressive side this season, while Spurs are struggling a little bit due to Kane’s lack of form. It is almost certain that Crystal Palace will score and I expect Puncheon to be involved in it. Puncheon is rated at 5.9 and is selected by 5.0% of the FPL managers. Puncheon has got two assists to his name so far.

2. Nacer Chadli:

Another player from the Spurs vs Eagles fixture. Both of the teams are not likely to keep a clean sheet. Crystal Palace has not yet kept a clean sheet and with Chadli in a good run of form, I expect him to score a goal this week. He is rated at 7.0 and is owned by 7.2 % of the FPL managers. He has got 1 goal and 1 assist to his name so far.

The Forwards

1. Graziano Pelle:

Southamtpon is playing Manchester United at home this week. LVG will be forced to make changes to his defense after Shaw got injured and this may slightly unbalance United’s back four. The Red Devils will find it difficult to handle Sadio Mane, but I expect Pelle to be the scorer. Pelle has scored two and assisted one so far this season. He is rated at 7.9 and is owned by 11.5% of the FPL managers.

2. Jermain Defoe:

The Sunderland striker has scored two goals this season and he is rated at 5.6. He is owned only by 6.1% of the FPL managers. Sunderland is playing Bournemouth away this week. Bournemouth has not yet kept a clean sheet and Sunderland has scored in every game except one. So that brings us to the conclusion that Sunderland will score atleast one goal.

Risky Player of The Week: Mark Albrighton

Riyad Mahrez is the highlight at Leicester at the moment and he is also the highlight in the premier league. Many of the FPL managers has put Mahrez in their team, but I would advice you to put Albrighton ahead of the Algerian. Leicester is playing Stoke away this week and Stoke is yet to keep a clean sheet and also they are yet to win a game. While the spotlight will be on Mahrez, I expect Albrighton to do the magic. He is rated at 5.2 and is selected by 7.8% of the FPL managers. He has got 1 goal and 3 assists to his name.

That’s it. These are the player’s to watch out this week. My captain sensible would be Riyad Mahrez. He is the man of the moment and Leicester are expected to pick up a win against the struggling Stoke. Considering the form Mahrez is in, he is expected to be involved in any goals that Leicester scores. Another risky player for the Captain pick is Xherdan Shaqiri. Leicester has not kept any clean sheets and Shaqiri is the man who is most capable to score in the Stoke side.

Wishing you all best of luck for this week’s FPL, I am closing my pen here.
