Ward To Continue As Striker, Zohore On The Bench: Predicted Cardiff Lineup To Face Norwich

Predicted Cardiff City Line-up To Face Norwich City In EFL Championship

Cardiff City carry on relentlessly and although they are three points clear of Sheffield United back in third place, they remain four behind leaders Wolves and are doing their utmost just to attempt to keep up with the Midlands outfit.

Another good away win at Nottingham Forest was achieved with Callum Paterson moving forward in a slight change to the familiar line-up that had led the league in the early weeks of the season, though it seems to be working well.

Kenneth Zohore may be ready to feature at some point in this match against Norwich City, though Nathaniel Mendez Laing is likely to still be missing for a while longer yet.

Neil Warnock may well line up once more with a 4-4-1-1 formation, probably featuring the following personnel:

Formation: 4-4-1-1

Manager: Neil Warnock

GK – Neil Etheridge

Cardiff’s no.1 is likely to carry on here and will look for one more shutout.

RB – Bruno Ecuele Manga

May carry on at right-back with Paterson moving forward in place of Mendez Laing.

Sol Bamba

CB – Sean Morrison

A rock at the back for Cardiff, epitomising what is a tight squad.

CB – Sol Bamba

The big fella had been playing really well in a deep-lying midfield position, but is now back in the defence and still going well.

LB – Joe Bennett

The fact that Cardiff let Declan John leave to join Rangers on loan tells you how good Bennett is, with Warnock getting the best out of him.

RW – Callum Paterson

The former Hearts right-back has relished this role of late and even managed a goal at Barnsley.

Junior Hoilett

CM – Loic Damour

May partner Joe Ralls in the midfield, maintaining a solid base in the middle of the park.

CM – Joe Ralls

A saleable asset, though Cardiff fans will be hoping that promotion doesn’t mean the sale of the talented midfield player.

LW – Junior Hoilett

The winger still knows how to find the net and in fact did so at the City Ground at the weekend. Another goal would not go amiss here.

SS – Craig Bryson

Has been given the task of supporting the striker of late and is doing alright. Should probably line up again behind Zohore or Ward.

ST – Danny Ward

Kenneth Zohore is pushing for a recall having recovered from injury, but Ward is an able deputy and in fact, he scored in Cardiff’s 2-0 win at Nottingham Forest at the weekend. It’s likely that he’ll start, with Zohore perhaps coming off the bench.
