Vokes In For The Suspended Barnes: Predicted Burnley Line-Up to Face Swansea City

Burnley will pay a visit to Wales this weekend, as they gear up to face Swansea City on Saturday in the Round-27 of fixtures in the Premier League.

The Clarets have been unbeatable at home this season, but have struggled to pick up points on the road. However, after a hard-earned draw away at Hull City last weekend, they will look to strengthen from that position. Their opponents Swansea are involved in the relegation scrap, but in recent weeks have shown signs of fight under new manager Paul Clement.

Having faced a 1-0 defeat against Swansea the last time they met, Burnley will be looking to get one over the Welsh outfit.

Team News:

Manager Sean Dyche will be without the services of striker Ashley Barnes who got himself suspended against Hull last week. And midfield duo of Steven Defour and Johann Gudmundsson also remain doubtful for the fixture on Saturday.

Burnley predicted line-up to face Swansea:

Formation: 4-4-2

Tom Heaton (GK)

The former Manchester United academy man has been one of the best shot-stoppers in the top-flight this term and will rightfully take his place between the sticks at the Liberty Stadium.

Matthew Lowton (RB)

The right-back hasn’t been the most consistent at the back for Burnley this season. But will retain his place against the Swans on Saturday.

Michael Keane (CB)

Keane has been absolutely top class this term. His rock-solid performances have been key for Sean Dyche. Having scored the leveler against Hull, his confidence will be high coming into the upcoming game.

Ben Mee (CB)

Has been the ideal foil for Keane at the back. Their partnership has blossomed beautifully this season and he will take the field on Saturday as well.

Stephen Ward (LB)

Ward will complete the back four for the Clarets against Paul Clement’s side. He has been solid and sturdy at the back for Burnley and more of the same will be expected against the Swans.

George Boyd (RM)

Has played in all but one game in the Premier League this season. Boyd is immensely trusted by his manager and will start on the right-side of the midfield.

Joey Barton (CM)

Having arrived in January, the controversial midfielder has played in all of Burnley’s last six games and has started the last four matches. We don’t expect that to change.

Ashley Westwood (CM)

Another January arrival, Westwood has started the previous two games in the middle of the park for Burnley and we expect him to play alongside Barton on Saturday once again.

Robbie Brady (LM)

The former Hull and Norwich man has made immediate impact after having signed in the winter transfer window. On current form, it is impossible to drop him for the Swansea game.

Sam Vokes (ST)

We expect the Welsh striker to feature from the kick-off on Saturday, due to Ashley Barnes’ sending off against Hull last weekend.

Andre Gray (ST)

Has scored the most number of goals for Burnley this season and will deservedly take his place at the top of the attack alongside Vokes.
