Strongest Tottenham Line-Up To Face Leicester City: New Signing To Be Involved In The Game For Spurs

Harry Kane for Manchester United?

Ranieri’s Leicester have been a surprise package so far this season having collected all of the 6 points so far with quite a lot of swagger. They seem to be flying high and Tottenham is the next obstacle on their way. Can the North London club halt this fast moving machine? After squandering a 2:0 lead at home v Stoke City, one may expect Tottenham to come up with some changes. But in truth, Spurs only need to be calm and defend when they have the game in the bag.

In my opinion, I don’t think Spurs will make major changes to the side that started against Stoke City. In goal will be club captain, Hugo Lloris, needless to say he will be looking to get his first official win as the skipper of the club.

The back 4 will be unchanged too. The Belgian duo of Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen will be looking to recreate the magic they had at Ajax, putting in a solid show this weekend will be a good start before they travel off on the international break. Fullbacks will be Kyle Walker and Ben Davies, although Danny Rose is close to a comeback and it remains to be seen if Pochetino will risk it.

Coming to the mid-field, the central mid pairing of Ryan Mason and Eric Dier is sure to continue after the duo impressed last weekend against Stoke. Dier even opened the goal scoring and will look to get among the goals this time around as well.

With the signing of Clinton N’Jie and the securing of his work permit in time for the weekend trip to Leicester, it remains to be seen if Pochetino will give the Cameroon international his debut. Dembele had a solid game last time round but with Lamela not able to create any impact, N’Jie could potentially make a sub appearance in the second half if things are going well for the visitors. The attacking trio of Dembele, Eriksen and Chadli seem to have cemented their places so far and unless Lamela and N’Jie produce the goods in training it will be hard to replace them.

Kane was subbed off on the grounds of tiredness last weekend. Spurs fans will be hoping the striker has no such qualms this weekend and will want him to get off to the goal scoring start that is expected of him being the only striker currently in the first team.

It will be a strong attacking Spurs side against Ranieri’s organised Leicester. Interesting game ahead before the international break.
