There had been many ‘Nazi salute‘ cases, including current Sunderland manager and former professional footballer Paulo di Canio. Not long ago, back in March 2013, a 20-year-old Greek forward playing for AEK Athens celebrated his goal by showing the Nazi salute. Apparently Katidis claimed he had not known what the gesture meant.
