Top 5 Passers Of The Premier League Game Week 28 – Arsenal And Liverpool Stars Feature In The List

Share

The Premier League just hit another gear and made the title race all the more interesting. While Leicester were held in their game against West Brom, Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City all lost.

The tie is back in favour of the Foxes as the big teams keep slipping and even with a draw they actually extended their lead at the top of the table. Liverpool probably had the result of the midweek fixtures as they dispatched Manchester City rather easily with Adam Lallana starring.

We look back at the midweek fixtures and list out the top five passers from this game week. (Stats Courtesy of Squawka.com)

Kevin Mirallas

Everton might have defeated Aston Villa, well most teams have done that this season and one player starring for the Toffees was the Belgian attacker, Kevin Mirallas.

The Belgian was incredible with his passing and had a passing accuracy of 89%, not only that, he also had a couple of assists in the three goals that Everton did score, who knows where the team ends up come May.

Dimitri Payet

The French attacker was at it again, this time against Tottenham as he tormented them with his movement and vision. Payet might not have scored on the night but he certainly was spot on with his creativity.

Payet produced five key passes for the team and also had the assist for Antonio’s goal which severely dented Spurs chances of winning the league and boosted claims that Payet is one of the best players in the league this season.

Adam Lallana

The Liverpool midfielder was all over Manchester City but in a good way. He opened the scoring for Liverpool with a low drive that caught out Joe Hart and then set up Roberto Firmino’s goal as well.

The English midfielder had a passing accuracy of 88% in the game against City but more than that it was his running and link up play with the rest of the team. This probably was Lallana’s best performance of the season, something which he can build on for next season.

Aaron Ramsey

Arsenal might have been on the losing side against Swansea, a surprising result to say the least but he was one of the best passers in the midweek fixtures. The Welsh midfielder had the most successful passes with 71 in the game week and had an accuracy of 91%.

Ramsey might not have assisted or scored in the game but his performance, at least in passing terms, was fantastic and he is one of the best in this stat for the game week.

Danny Drinkwater

Leicester might not have got the three points against West Brom but Danny Drinkwater was one of the best players when it comes to passing in game week 28 of the Premier League.

The English midfielder had 64 successful passes for Leicester with an accuracy of 89%, one of the highest in this game week, Drinkwater has been excellent all season and he continues doing well for the Foxes.
