Five Free Agents In The Market Your Club Can Sign

The January window will be an important time for the Premier League clubs to seek out options to add to their existing squad. The current season has been quite unpredictable so far, barring Manchester City. Pep Guardiola’s men have cemented themselves at the top of the league and it seems unlikely for any other club to even catch them. However, procuring new faces could help the chances of most of the other teams and with that in mind, here are five free agents who are available in the market at the moment.

Bacary Sagna

Ever since he was released from Manchester City, Sagna has been a free-agent. Though he was receiving decent game time at Manchester City, Pep Guardiola chose to upgrade his options and Sagna was one of the casualties. That does not undermine his skills though and the player could prove to be a strong option for most of the mid-table clubs. His experience will prove to be advantageous as well, making him a player worth signing.

Marouane Chamakh

The forward was released by Cardiff City earlier this year but he could prove to be a short-term boost for a number of struggling clubs in the Premier League right now. Chamakh has plenty of experience that can be valuable up front. He is known for his excellent link-up play and superior heading qualities since he is quite tall. At 34 years of age, the player may have slowed down in terms of pace but his skills continue to be sharper than ever.

Patrice Evra

Evra was recently embroiled in a lot of controversies after kicking his own fan in a recent match for Marseille. He is suspended until June 2018 and while this incident was shameful, the former Manchester United player who won the treble with the Red Devils, is yet to call it a day from the world of football. Despite the unfortunate situation, a lot of clubs could be interested in landing the player because his skills continue to be top-notch. Moreover, he still has a couple of years of football ahead of him, making him a viable option.

Pedro Morales

Renowned for playing with Colo-Colo, the Chilean footballer’s name does come up now and then during transfer windows. An attacking midfielder by trade, his fiery speed and creative vision is quite refined. He may be 32 years old but he does not show any signs of slowing down. He boasts of both experience and skill and a number of Premier League clubs could benefit from his arrival.

Jan Kirchoff

Kirchhoff excelled as a holding midfield for Sam Allardyce and his reading of the game and vision protected a flaky Sunderland defence. A good midfielder can remarkably affect the fortunes of a lot of teams, thus making Kirchoff a viable target. He did suffer from injuries but that does not undermine his skills on the pitch. Plus, his experience could play a major role as well.
