Three Reasons Why Liverpool Shouldn’t Bring Back This Troubled Youngster To The Premier League As A Luis Suarez Replacement

Brendan Rodgers

Lack of loyalty

Mario Balotelli has so far mainly been guided by his emotions than his senses. It is evident that he cannot settle easily in any club and his lustrous yet brief stints with Inter, City and Milan validates that. Everywhere he starts off with a bang but after a short time he looks to head out of the club in search of greener pastures. So far he has not made more than 59 league appearances for any of the clubs and this is one thing which should worry the Liverpool management. If they are to look for Balotelli’s replacement in the next transfer window, that would be a tragic event for a manager who is trying to take the club as a long term project.

Controversy’s child

If there is one similarity between Mario Balotelli and Luis Suarez then it is the controversies that both the players have been involved in till now. Many were in favour of letting Suarez go last summer because of this reason, before he answered his critics with his performance on the field. Balotelli is of the same genre and he has been involved with off field and on field issues a number of times in his career. If Liverpool have to be in the market for another striker to replace the controversial Suarez, then a certain Balotelli would not offer much relief in this department. Brendan Rodgers, much like he transformed Suarez into a composed striker and managed to get the best out of his football, will have to go through the entire process once again.
