As Per reports from standard.co.uk and several other British Media, Arsenal are seriously considering to bring back their former captain Cesc Fabregas to the Emirates. It is said that Wenger is prepared to splash out as much as £35 million for the Barcelona midfielder.
The Spaniard who was found and raised by Arsene Wenger from a tender age of 16, forced his way back to his boyhood club in 2011 but ever since he has found it difficult to cement his place in the Catalan club’s starting line-up. The midfielder especially had a torrid time this past season with his own fans booing to his under-par performance on several occasions. Barcelona has appointed their third manager Luis Enrique in less than three years and Enrique has already made it clear that there will be a mass exodus from the Camp Nou this summer as a part of his re-building measures.
And as a new twist in the transfer saga, Manchester United who were running behind the Spanish midfielder from last summer, has reportedly withdrew their interest in him as newly appointed Dutch manager Louis Van Gaal has other targets in mind.
Meanwhile, Cese Fabregas was spotted in London last night with his girlfriend Daniella Semaan enjoying dinner at the Chiltern Firehouse restaurant at the time when his Spanish colleagues arrived in Madrid for their World Cup preparations. While his time in London might be unknown or for a different reason, it certainly arises speculations about a possible move back to Arsenal.
