This Is Shocking! Liverpool To Give Up On Mario Gotze

Share

Liverpool had been heavily linked with a transfer of Mario Gotze this summer but as per the latest news, the Reds have pulled out of the race.

The arrival of Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool during middle of the season last year prompted media to start talking about Gotze moving to Anfield. There were several reports that the German midfielder is looking for an exit for more game time and the familiarity of working with Jurgen Klopp made the German’s move sound all the more realistic. However according to Mirror, the player has not yet given up on a potential transfer but it is unlikely to be Liverpool.

Liverpool has recently purchased Sadio Mane from Southampton and the German manager is said to be happy with Mane. Obviously spending more money for a player who you already have substitute for does not make sense.

Now this leaves Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund in a stronger position to sign Gotze from Bayern Munich.
