The Top 3 Young Talents In The Premier League In 2016 Featuring Liverpool And Tottenham Stars

Share

Football is reaching a stage where teams just want to get younger and younger, and players make their professional debuts at even more tender ages nowadays, trying to show their talents and prove that they’re more than ready to make an impact in the first team and leave their names on the books for good.

One of the tournaments that features the most youngsters (and arguably the most talented as well) is the English Premier League, as more and more lads are making first team appearances and taking the world for assault on a weekly basis.

With the transfer market now open and that new great tendency among the biggest clubs in the world to sign young talent, it feels like it is the time to take a look at the 3 best youngsters of 2016 among the league in order to find out who the next big thing might be:

  1. Divock Origi

The 21-year-old Belgian hasn’t been always featured as a starter for Liverpool, but he’s paid Jurgen Klopp’s confidence with high praise when he has required in the absence of players like Philippe Coutinho or Daniel Sturridge.

In fact, the youngster has been a total game changer on many occasions and has even been considered over Sturridge a lot of times to come off the bench, showing great rapport with both Adam Lallana and Sadio Mane and being the crucial player to open the score for Liverpool when things weren’t going their way.

Divock has managed to score the ball 7 times to go along with 1 assist despite making only 9 starts as a Red this season and just like Rashford, he has been featured both inside and outside the box, showing great skill, versatility and projection.

  1. Marcus Rashford

Rashford has been vastly impressive since making his professional debut for Louis Van Gaal during the past season, scoring whenever he made a debut in a competition and breaking opposing defences, leaving no answer to contain his offensive skills.

He’s been sent to a bench role nowadays with Zlatan Ibrahimovic on the team, but even if his minutes and scoring numbers have decreased over the course of this season, his impact on the team hasn’t, as he has been one of the main players off the bench for Jose Mourinho’s side and helping the Red Devils earn some late victories with either his scores or assists.

The 19-year old has a bright future ahead of him as Manchester United’s go – to guy, scoring 5 goals and being featured both as a striker or on either flank. His versatility, pace and dribbling skills make him a huge threat and there’s no doubt that he’ll be at the top of the world in no time.

  1. Dele Alli

Even if both of the aforementioned are huge talents, it seems like they’re just not on the same level this guy is. Dele Alli has been unanimously the most impressive youngster since he made his debut for Spurs and his progress just seems unstoppable.

The versatile midfielder has a great feel for the game and his scoring ability is just off the charts, becoming the main guy for Mauricio Pochettino’s team even despite having both Christian Eriksen and  Harry Kane in their ranks.

Alli has managed to score 10 goals this season to go along with an assist, and there have even been several reports that Real Madrid have put their eyes on the 20-year-old. For now, it seems like the only thing that can hold him back is himself, as he’s shown to be kind of volatile and immature at times, but his talent is just undeniable.
