Christian Benteke failed to live up to the expectations
Liverpool seems to be in a dilemma regarding Christian Benteke. While it is widely understood that Jurgen Klopp is willing to let the striker leave, the destination and the price seems to be the problem.
The Belgian joined Liverpool for a fee of £35.2 million just one season ago. After scoring 10 goals in 42 appearances, he does not seem to command much of a demand from the market. While Crystal Palace and West Ham United have been linked with a move and now as per The Mirror, West Brom Albion seems to have joined the chase as well.
The Baggies boss Tony Pulis is looking for a replacement for Saido Berahino and feels that Benteke will be a suitable one. Liverpool are looking for a payment in the range of the price at which they purchased Benteke and but it is doubtful if these clubs will offer that kind of money. Not even if Berahino is sold for a world record transfer fee.
