Strongest 3-4-2-1 Arsenal Line-up To Face Everton As Wenger Welcomes 3 Key Superstars Back

Predicted Arsenal Line-up To Face Everton In The Premier League

Arsenal were helped to a narrow victory in the UEL competition earlier this week, thanks to a stunner from Olivier Giroud late in the game. However, the Gunners have not been in great form of late and are healing from a loss against Watford in the previous league game. They are back in action this weekend when they travel to the Goodison Park on Sunday.

Their last trip to the Merseyside ended in a 4-0 loss to Liverpool and Wenger will hope that his side can put in a better performance against an Everton side, that has picked up just 8 points from their first 8 games this season.

Team News

The likes of David Ospina, Santi Cazorla, Calum Chambers, Shkodran Mustafi and Danny Welbeck are all out due to injuries with varying return dates being mentioned by Arsene Wenger. Laurent Koscielny is fit and available, while Aaron Ramsey is back as well, leaving Wenger with not too much trouble. Alexis Sanchez is back available too.

Formation: 3-4-2-1

Manager: Arsene Wenger

GK – Petr Cech

The first choice shot-stopper for Arsenal, Cech will not be happy with the efforts of his backline recently and will want to marshal them better.

CB – Laurent Koscielny

Koscielny is back after limping off against Watford. Wenger will be a relieved man now that he can field his best defender against a tricky Everton side.

CB – Per Mertesacker

The German veteran has been effective in the last few games and also scored the only goal against Watford. With Mustafi still out, he should be used at the heart of the backline for Arsenal.

CB – Nacho Monreal

The Spaniard has been effective as a centre-back almost every time he has been used and will hope to have a comfortable game against a misfiring Everton.

RWB – Hector Bellerin

The Spanish ace has no real back up in the first-team and is an automatic starter at wing back on the right flank.

CM – Granit Xhaka

Though out of form, Everton have a decent attacking lineup and Xhaka will have his work cut out, playing as a shield for the back line.

CM – Aaron Ramsey

Coming back after a 2-game absence, Ramsey should be pushed into the starting XI straight away, with a hope that he can find the form he was in before the brief absence.

LWB – Sead Kolasinac

The newbie for Arsenal, Kolasinac has been a rock for Arsenal on the left. Wenger needs him to fire on all cylinders to take all three points from this crucial encounter.

RAM – Mesut Ozil

Mesut Ozil has been in the midst of heavy criticism and looks terribly out of form. Nevertheless, he should have the mental strength to come out of this rut and find his form back.

LAM – Alexis Sanchez

The Chilean is another controversial figure at the Emirates these days but should start this game as he did not feature in the Europa League.

ST – Alexandre Lacazette

With Welbeck out injured and Giroud starting the UEL fixture, it is clear that Wenger will stick Lacazette in the attack in what could be the strongest Arsenal attacking line-up possible.

Here is how Arsenal might line up:
