Star Returns – Strongest 4-3-3 Everton Line-Up Koeman Will Deploy Against Watford

Everton

Predicted Everton Lineup To Face Watford

Everton will square off against Walter Mazzarri’s Watford FC, at the Goodison Park, on Friday night in the Premier League.

Ronald Koeman’s men haven’t been in the best of forms of late and are winless in their last 3 games. They come into this fixture on the back of a 1-0 loss to relegation battlers Swansea City last weekend. With a top-6 finish looking like a distant dream, the Toffees will want to consolidate their 7th position. Everton faced a 3-2 defeat last time they clashed against the Hornets and will be intent on avoiding a similar result at home.

Team News

Aaron Lennon has been ruled out after he was taken into custody due to mental illness. Midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin is also unlikely to play a part due to a thigh injury. Yannick Bolasie, Seamus Coleman, Ramiro Funes Mori and James McCarthy have been ruled out for the season.

Probable Everton Starting XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager: Ronald Koeman

Joel Robles (GK)

The Spaniard has been the better of the two goalkeeping options available to the manager. He should start in goal ahead of Maarten Stekelenburg.

Mason Holgate (RB)

The youngster has done a decent job filling in for Coleman since his injury. Will continue at right-back.

Phil Jagielka (CB)

The 34-year old may very well be playing his last few games for the club, with his contract up at the end of the season. Will look to end his Everton career on a high.

Ashley Williams (CB)

The Welshman has been one of the best transfers of the season and has impressed heavily in his debut campaign with the Merseyside club. Will partner Jagielka in defence.

Leighton Baines (LB)

An ever present in the Everton line-up for years now, the 32-year old remains an extremely important part of the team. Will take his place on the left-hand side of the backline.

Tom Davies (CM)

One of the biggest positives to have come out for Everton this season has been the emergence of the 18-year old Davies. A definite starter in midfield.

Gareth Barry (CM)

The veteran will operate as the deepest of the three midfielders and will look to shield his defence.

Idrissa Gueye (CM)

The third spot in the midfield will be taken up by Gueye, who has become a vital cog in the Everton wheel in his first season with the club.

Ross Barkley (RW)

The 23-year old was benched for the Swansea game last week but should return to the starting line-up in place of Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Romelu Lukaku (ST)

The Belgian has been brilliant this season for Everton. He will look to win the Golden Boot Award and end the season on a real high.

Kevin Mirallas (LW)

Started last week on the right-hand side of the attacking trident, but with Barkley set to start, the Belgian will move to the left-flank.
