In the minds of Arsenal fans, Robin van Persie is a god once they worshiped, who turned into a (Red) Devil. After joining Manchester United, his “Little boy inside him” talks and his infamous goal celebration after scoring against the gunners at Old Trafford added more fuel to the hate fire.
Now, it is revealed that the Dutch striker has made another controversial statement that questions the winning mentality of his former club. According to him, at United, players face massive pressure to win games while Arsenal players don’t face such level of pressure and they just wanted to win.
It was Rio Ferdinand who revealed the statement made by van Persie in his autobiography #2sides.
He wrote,
‘Robin van Persie loved the winning mind state that Fergie had created,’
‘He told me that at Arsenal you wanted to win, but at United you had to win.’
