Out of nowhere, Turkish side Besiktas are reportedly considering a shocking move to sign Arsenal’s German wizard Mesut Ozil. Erdan Torunogullari, the club’s transfer chief, has held talks with Ozil’s agents, confirms Besiktas’ former board member Erol Kaynar.
“Erdal [Torunogullari] met with Mesut Ozil’s representatives last week and made an enquiry,” Kaynar said. If Arsenal are interested in this move, they will demand a huge sum for the German as they acquired Ozil for a massive transfer fee of £42.5million from Real Madrid in 2013.
Ozil, whose origin is from Turkey, in the past has revealed that he is a huge fan of Fenarbache, Besiktas’ rivals and also expressed his desire to play for them one day.
“In the future I want to wear a Fenerbahçe shirt it would be an honour. Everyone knows I am a Fenerbahce fan,” Ozil said in the past.
In the current Transfer window, Arsenal signed Petr Cech from Chelsea are are looking to sign Karim Benzema from Madrid.
