Premier League giants Manchester United are at present, planning to derail Chelsea’s potential move to sign Everton’s John Stones, as per what the club sources have told ESPN FC. Louis van Gaal’s side will look to offer the Merseyside club Johnny Evans plus cash, in order to present a bid that can appeal to them and make a move possible.
However, sources at Stamford Bridge suggested that the Blues are quite confident that the 21-year-old superstar will eventually sign for them, as manager Jose Mourinho looks to strengthen his back-line.
On the other hand, the Dutch boss’ stubborn nature in these matters might pose a threat to the west London side, who have been chasing the defender for quite some time now.
Also, last week Roberto Martinez was annoyed about the way skipper John Terry openly spoke about how players like Stones could represent the future of Chelsea and accused him of “illegally tapping up” players of other clubs.
