Aubameyang to Arsenal or Tottenham?
According to the latest reports, Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is now wanted by both Premier League giants Arsenal and Tottenham. The Gunners had offered a price of €40m last week for acquiring the 26-year-old Gabonese striker, but the Bundesliga outfit were not too keen on selling.
Since then, Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc issued a statement to the media, which read as, “We rely heavily on Aubameyang – that is no secret.”
“I’ve heard a lot about this (a transfer to Arsenal) but I can say very clearly that it is blocked for him. He is simply not for sale.”
These reports also claim that apart from Arsene Wenger’s side, their north London rivals Tottenham are also interested in signing the 26-year-old attacker to pair up alongside Harry Kane.
However, as Spurs failed to qualify for the Champions League, it seems unlikely that the former Milan man will join them and could prefer a move to the Emirates instead, though whether a deal will go through or not is not certain yet.
