Predicted Real Madrid Lineup To Face Celta Vigo

Real Madrid will look to go top of the La Liga table when they take on Celta Vigo at the Balaidos on Wednesday night.

Zinedine Zidane’s men sit 2nd in the table, level on points with leaders Barcelona and a win will take them 3 points clear of the Catalans, putting them in the driver’s seat for the title triumph. Real Madrid come into the game on the back of an emphatic 4-1 victory over Sevilla and will look to carry the same form for Wednesday night.

Team News

No fresh injury concerns for Zidane, with Dani Carvajal and Gareth Bale being the only absentees. Versatile defender Nacho will be unavailable due to suspension after he picked up a yellow card against Sevilla on Sunday evening.

Probable Real Madrid Starting XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager: Zinedine Zidane

Keylor Navas (GK)

The Costa Rican will need to be at his best for Real to come out on top against the Galician outfit on Wednesday. Should start.

Danilo (RB)

Hasn’t been really convincing but with Carvajal unavailable, he will start the game at right-back. Pione Sisto could prove to be a handful to deal with for the Brazilian.

Raphael Varane (CB)

The Frenchman hasn’t skipped a beat since his return from injury and has been brilliant. Will keep his place at the heart of the defence.

Sergio Ramos (CB)

Varane will be paired up with captain Sergio Ramos. The Spaniard needs to control his aggression and stay disciplined in what will be a hugely vital clash.

Marcelo (LB)

Sat out the Sevilla game, but with Nacho suspended, he will be in for a return to the starting XI against Celta.

Luka Modric (CM)

Made a cameo against Sevilla, but will take the starting berth for the midweek clash, with James Rodriguez dropping out.

Casemiro (CM)

Another player who was benched for the weekend encounter. The Brazilian will be in line for a return in the place of Mateo Kovacic.

Toni Kroos (CM)

Has played the most number of games for Madrid this season. He will add another appearance to his tally at the Balaidos.

Isco (RW)

The Spaniard has been Madrid’s best player over the past month or so. Will be reinstated to the starting team after being rested against Sevilla.

Karim Benzema (ST)

Alvaro Morata was picked ahead of Benzema on Sunday, but the former Juventus man failed to make an impact. The Frenchman will feature from the get-go.

Cristiano Ronaldo (LW)

Scored twice on Sunday and has been in excellent form of late. He will be Madrid’s chief attacking ingredient against Celta.
