Jurgen Klopp is planning on an overhaul of players in the Merseyside, and according to Newcastle legend Mickey Quinn, Klopp has a list of potential targets for the summer transfers and of them three are the most important ones for whom the German manager will be putting maximum efforts.
According to Quinn, Ignacio Camacho, Lucas Maura and Granit Xhaka are the top priorities for the manager. If the German manages to sign these three players, the next season will be interesting for the Reds.
“[Malaga defensive midfielder Ignacio] Camacho, [PSG playmaker] Lucas Moura, [Borussia Monchengladbach star] Granit Xhaka, these are all players on the hit list and if he gets them it’ll be an exciting season for Liverpool next year.”
And former striker went on to say that Benteke will be gone in the summer,
“Benteke’s gone. I don’t like to say it, but I’m afraid he’s gone.
“He just doesn’t fit in with Klopp’s mentality of that versatile front three, where they’re closing people down, running into the channels and getting back to defend as well – a mobile front three. He just doesn’t fit into Klopp’s brand of football.
“I really think he’ll be gone in the summer, unless he wants to work with him over pre-season to get him onto that mentality. But I don’t think so, I think he’ll be gone.
“On numerous occasions, when Benteke and Origi have been on the bench, Klopp has turned to Origi. You get that with managers. Some, when they come into clubs, fancy some players and don’t fancy others.”
Although Liverpool are keen on signing Camacho, the player has suffered 6 different injuries in the last 12 months, that’s 99 days out of action and 29 games missed. While Malaga are determined about the release clause of 20million Euros that is 15m Pounds, we wonder if Liverpool needs to spend as much on an injury prone player.
Whereas where Granit Xhaka is concerned the player is rated at 37m pounds and Liverpool will be facing strong competition from Manchester City for the player’s signature.
On the other hand Moura is rated at 30m Pounds, but the player’s goal scoring record has been poor at PSG and if thought practically a move to the Premier League will not change the way a player plays.
