According to France Football report on Friday, Arsenal are very close to agreeing a new contract extension with French defender Laurent Koscielny.
Laurent Koscielny along with his defensive partner Per Mertesacker is having a great season for the North London club. Recently, many top clubs from Europe including the likes of PSG, Bayern Munich and Monaco are linked with the hard-tackling defender.
This report also claimed that Arsene Wenger personally met with Koscielny’s agent Stéphane Courbis on Thursday. Talks seems to have went well and Koscielny is expected to sign a new contract in next few weeks.
Koscielny’s current deal expires at the end of the 2016/2017. This is indeed a good news for the gunners as they cannot afford to lose another important star.
