REPORT: Arsenal Closing In On This Super-Human Goalkeeper

According to the latest reports, Arsenal are planning to bring Mexican goal keeper Guillermo Ochoa to Emirates for the next season.

Ochoa came into spotlight after that super human performance against Brazil which enabled his country to gain one crucial point in the race to qualify for the next round.

The 28-year-old is  a free agent now and many top clubs will certainly look to sign him up after the World cup. Ochoa stated his desire to play in the champions league.

He told L’Equipe,

“I now need to play in the Champions League to be sure of my level,”

“My priority is to stay in France, but I am open to any propositions.”

“I have improved in the last three years, most notably in handling the pace of games.”

“But I was used to top competition when I played in Mexico.”

With both Fabianski and Mannone have already left the club, signing Ochoa for free would be a good deal for the gunners. Ochoa may not get regular game time with Szczesny being Arsenal’s no 1, but playing for a top team like Arsenal with European football would surely tempt him to agree terms with the North London side.
