Projected Liverpool Lineup To Play Against Leicester City – Moreno & Johnson To Start?

After an enthralling victory against Stoke City in the last game, Liverpool seem to be on a high now. Finally Brendan Rodgers and his men managed to put an end to their streak of four consecutive losses and a tie, as Glen Johnson struck a final minute beauty against the Potters on Anfield last weekend.

With the team finding some momentum lately, Rodgers would be looking forward to another triumph against Liecester City this week. On the other side, Nigel Pearson’s Liecester City have not had the greatest of their Premier League runs so far. The November particularly has been very rough for the team, as they could only manage to rack up only one out twelve points on the line up. After 3-2 defeat at the hands of QPR last weekend, Nigel Pearson’s men would be banking upon this game to turn the tide in their favour. As a head to head game awaits this week, here is our score on the predicted line up for Liverpool against Liecester City.

Simon Mignolet: The young Belgian, despite some precious mistakes in the previous games, has been Rodgers’ Man Friday. Specially after, Mignolet’s outstanding performance in the last game against the Potters, the Reds Boss would be keen on vesting him the responsibility of managing the bars.

Glen Johnson: Having scored a superb last minute finisher against Stoke City in the previous face off, Johnson became the Messiah for the Reds. The experienced English man would be starting at right back as usual.

Dejan Lovren: The Croatian center back had a very short lived appearance in the previous match. Despite that, his presence was equally impactful. Rodgers would be keen on giving him an opportunity to display his skills against Liecester.

Martin Skrtel: The experienced Slovak center back did not have his best game against the Potters last weekend. However, his sheer experience and presence would provide more depth in the Reds’ line up. Rodgers would surely be giving his most experienced center back a chance in this game.

Alberto Moreno: The dynamic Spanish fellow had been to assigned the stands in the past few games. But, a chance at left back beckons for Moreno once again.

Steven Gerrard: Although Gerrard has been down in form quite for sometime now, yet he remains the most valuable player of the squad. The presence of someone of his caliber shall surely provide more intensity to the line up, particularly the midfield.

Philippe Coutinho: The Brazilian midfielder’s in the last match was below par. However, Rodgers would like to give this young man a fair shake in the next game to do something for the side.

Raheem Sterling: The only player in the squad who is in supreme touch at this moment is possibly this young Jamaican midfielder. His skill, agility and innovative techniques are invaluable assets for the Reds.

Jordan Henderson: The English midfielder has been in good form altogether, yet he struggled against Stoke City in the previous face off and would be looking forward to deliver more when they travel to the King Power Stadium.

Adam Lallana: The English midfielder was seen more in the dug out and less on the field, in the previous fixtures. Nonetheless, this time Brendan Rodgers would be interested to have him in the squad as an attacking midfielder from the left wing.

Rickie Lambert: The English striker had a rather formidable match against the Potters. However, with Mario Balotelli still being kept sidelined from the squad owing to his groin injury, Lambert would get an extended run as Liverpool’s front man.
