Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart have now told all clubs who are interested in signing their young defender Antonio Rudiger, to splash the cash in order to sign their star. Premier League champions Chelsea were keen on completing a move for the 22-year old in recent months, but will have to compete with the likes of Atletico Madrid and Juventus in order to sign him.
Further, TuttoSport reported that the German club were trying to send a message across to the clubs interested in signing Rudiger by informing them to put in an offer worth considering.
The defender could cost the Blues a price of around €18m, due to the fact that many big clubs across Europe are trying to sign him during this transfer window. With both John Terry and Gary Cahill, the club’s first choice defenders not getting any younger, the west London side is looking to take steps in finding their potential replacements sooner rather than later.
Manager Jose Mourinho is looking to add the defensive starlet who made his debut for Stuttgart in 2012 and has over 50 league appearances to his name.
