Predicted Real Madrid Lineup To Face Getafe In La Liga

Real Madrid will look to get back to winning ways when they face off against Getafe at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday night.

The reigning La Liga champions were handed a 1-0 defeat by Catalan side Espanyol during the midweek which further hit their chances of keeping in touch with the top two, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. Zinedine Zidane’s Galacticos are ten points behind their neighbours who sit second and fifteen below leaders Barca.

Team News

Left-back Marcelo returned to training on Friday but is expected to sit out of the weekend encounter. Midfielders Toni Kroos and Luka Modric are other vital absentees for Zidane while young defender Jesus Vallejo is also set to miss out.

Probable Real Madrid XI

Manager: Zinedine Zidane

Formation: 4-4-2

Keylor Navas (GK)

The Costa Rican international will be keen on keeping a clean sheet, having conceded a late goal in the midweek fixture.

Dani Carvajal (RB)

The Spaniard was benched for the loss against Espanyol but should be reinstated to the starting XI for Saturday’s game.

Raphael Varane (CB)

The Frenchman will once again start in the heart of the defence for the Galacticos against Getafe this weekend.

Sergio Ramos

Sergio Ramos (CB)

The captain returned from suspension for the midweek game and will be hoping to inspire his side to a victory on Saturday.

Theo Hernandez (LB)

The summer signing was left out of the starting line-up for the game against Espanyol. He should return to the side, with Nacho making way.

Lucas Vazquez (RM)

The Spaniard has been in decent form of late and will be keen on putting in a strong display at the weekend.

Casemiro (CM)

The Brazilian midfield enforcer did not feature on Tuesday but should be back in action at the Santiago Bernabeu this weekend.

Mateo Kovacic (CM)

The Croatian international remains Zidane’s best option in the middle of the park in the absence of Kroos and Modric. Should start again on Saturday night.

Cristiano Ronaldo

Gareth Bale (LM)

The Welshman did not have the best of games in the midweek. Could be moved out to the left flank where he shined last weekend.

Karim Benzema (ST)

The Frenchman came off the bench against Espanyol but couldn’t help his team get any points. Will be hoping to make a stronger impact on Saturday.

Cristiano Ronaldo (ST)

The Portuguese talisman was left out of the squad on Tuesday night. Will definitely return to the starting line-up for Saturday’s game.
