Predicted Arsenal Line Up To Start Against Manchester City – Cazorla And Welbeck To Start

After that marginal victory against Norwich City last time out, Arsenal climbed up to the third spot and made a three point gap between them and Manchester City.

Arsenal will be traveling to Etihad this Sunday and will be looking to get a win, as three points will guarantee them a Champions League group stage spot. Manchester City, on the other hand, played their first ever semi-final of the champions league, but were unfortunate as they were knocked out by Real Madrid.

In their last premier league fixture, Machester City were beaten by Southampton and the team will be looking to bounce back in the league to secure the 3rd spot.

Comparing both the teams according to their recent results, Manchester City has managed to grab 13 points from their last 6 games and Arsenal have managed 12 points from a possible 18, and so, it’s hard to separate both the sides accordingly.

Here is the predicted Lineup for Arsenal that could face Manchester City at Etihad stadium this Sunday.

Goalkeeper: Petr Cech-

The obvious choice for the French manager in this game. Ospina will also be available for the team, but Wenger would prefer the Czech International for a game like this.

Defence: Bellerin; Gabriel; Koscielny; Monreal-

Bellerin has been exceptional in recent times for the club, but was not that effective in the game against Norwich. He is a great runner, but he needs to work more in keeping up the possession and should also concentrate more on his defending. As Mertesacker will be missing the game due to his Hamstring injury, Wenger will surely go for the Brazilian defender, Gabriel who will be partnering up with Koscielny. Monreal, at this late stage is improving well, but had an average performance against Norwich. Will have to be on his toes as he will be confronting Navas or De Bruyne.

Midfielders: Ozil; Cazorla; Elneny; Iwobi; Sanchez-

Cazorla was left on the bench last time out, but might return to face the Citizens. As he will be playing a more attacking role, Elneny will have to play as a deep-lying midfielder and have to be on his best to stop De Bruyne and others. Iwobi has been a most threatening player for the side and might retain his position in the next game as well. Alexis Sanchez is the player for Arsenal who can score the goals, and who can create the goals. He cannot be dropped from the next game if Wenger tends to secure a champions league spot. Ozil had an amazing start to the campaign, but has not done too much in the current year, but he is an integral part of the team and should start the next game.

Striker: Welbeck-

Giroud had a horrible game against Norwich and missed many open chances for the team. Eventually, Welbeck scored the winner and won’t be a surprise to see him in the starting XI in place of Giroud.
