Who Is This Polish Winger That Leicester City Are Trying To Sign To Replace The Arsenal Bound Mahrez

Leicester City haven’t wasted time and are already signing players to ensure that they can not only do well in the Premier League this season and also do well in the Champions League, which requires them to have a much bigger squad than what they had last season.

While they might have lost N’Golo Kante and are on the verge of losing Riyad Mahrez, or so it seems, Claudio Ranieri has already earmarked a player to replace the talented Algerian with a youngster that has been rated as one of the best Polish talents to have come out of the country in a long time.

Bartosz Kapustka is being linked with a move to the Foxes and the 19-year-old currently plays for Cracovia and mostly plays in central midfield. The youngster also took part in the recent Euro 2016 competition and did extremely well in the tournament and got a lot of plaudits for his performances.

A talented youngster who can only get better

Kapustka has been on the radar for many top clubs and his side have had to bat away bids even before the start of Euro 2016. His best performance came against Northern Ireland and he showed just what he can do on a regular basis.

The 19-year-old has been one of the best in midfield for Poland and he is part of almost everything that Poland sent out forward in attack. He has an incredible range of passing as well and also did a lot of work to stop counter-attacks.

The funny thing is Kapustka can play in midfield, out wide on the wings or just behind the striker and his versatility hasn’t affected his positional sense or his playing ability either. The youngster is also regarded to have excellent temperament and isn’t someone who is fazed rather easily, even if he is playing in a big game for a team.

As stated, his passing range and consistency seem to be key for him, though he does have an eye for goal; he isn’t the most prolific in that category. Either way, it does speak a lot about his talent and ability that even Borussia Dortmund have been linked with a move for the Polish star. He might be the perfect player to replace Riyad Mahrez who is closing on a move to Arsenal.

Claudio Ranieri does know what kind of players he does need this season as he looks to defend this title and whether they do get someone like Kapustka or not, the Poland star does have a bright future and should be one to keep an eye out for in the coming years.
