Bayern Munich captain Philipp Lahm has warned Arsenal that Bayern Munich will be traveling to London with a winning mentality and will play attacking football.
Lahm who is considered as one of the best fullbacks of last decade has acknowledged that Arsenal will provide a tough game and is expecting the North London side to take a defensive approach to the game.
Lahm told TZ,
“Of course we’re looking forward to the match,”
“Arsenal are an absolutely top-class opponent. We are going to travel to London now and lay the groundwork for the second leg (at home).”
“I don’t think Arsenal will play offensively and leave us a lot of room. It will be similar to our recent Bundesliga matches. We’re going there to win.”
With their Bundesliga title seemingly wrapped up as they are 15 points clear at the top, Bayern now can shift their full attention on winning the Champions league for record breaking fifth time.
