French international Dimitri Payet saved Slaven Bilic some blushes as his stunning goal gave the Hammers a point against Middlesbrough. Cristhian Stuani gave the visitors the lead 6 minutes into the second half but Payet managed to find an equalizer just six minutes later to take West Ham’s points tally to 4 from 7 completed games this season. There were a number of players who underperformed while few sizzled and here are the player ratings for this game:

Adrian (5):
Was not the solid presence that the home side needs in front of goal as he showed too many flaws in his game on the night.
Sam Byram (5):
Picked up an injury early in the game and was also not impressive in the time he got in the game.
James Collins (5):
Was not at his best at the back as he failed to handle the pressure from the Boro side.
Winston Reid (6):
Put in a decent shift at the back, as he managed to dominate his box in the air and also picked up an assist for Payet’s equalizer in the second half.
Angelo Ogbonna (6):
Playing in an unfamiliar position due to injuries, Ogbonna did not do full justice to his position but was one of the better defenders on the night for his side.
Mark Noble (7):
Grew in confidence as the game moved on and managed to control the game in the midfield for his side. Almost scored with a shot that hit the crossbar before being subbed off.
Cheikhou Kouyate (5):
Did not manage to get a foothold in the game as he found himself out of position on many occasions and failed to have an impact on the side.
Pedro Obiang (7):
Put in a top class performance coming back from injury as he was comfortable in possession and caused some problems on a constant basis for the visitors.
Gokhan Tore (3):
By far the worst player on the field for the Hammers, Tore, hardly managed to get a pass right as he was all over the field on a forgettable night.
Michail Antonio (5):
After a great start to the season, Antonio was not able to keep up the good form in this game as he was hardly an influence in the final third.
Dimitri Payet (7):
The man of the match for West Ham, Payet, rescued a point for the home side when everything looked dim. He was superb in his build up play and was on another level compared to his teammates on the night.
Subs:
Alvaro Arbeloa (6):
Stuck to his task well replacing Byram early in the game and also created a couple of half-chances for his side on a decent night.
Simone Zaza (3):
Another appearance where he failed to create an impact, Zaza, came on in the second half and had a couple of chances to put his team ahead which he did not even come close to finishing.
Manuel Lanzini (6):
Came into the game too late to make an impact but gave plenty of reasons for the manager to start him in the next game.
