Official! Liverpool Complete Yet Another Summer Transfer For Attacker

Share

Liverpool has completed the signing of Sadio Mane from Southampton. The news has been officially announced by the club and the media alike.

The Senegal international will join Liverpool in a five year contract and has become the fifth player to have joined Liverpool from Southampton in last two years’ time. The 24 year old is also Jurgen Klopp’s fourth signing after Marko Grujic, Joel Matip and Loris Karius earlier this month. Mane has scored 21 goals for Southampton in 67 games and has been highly praised for the performance he has put up in the last two seasons. He also has 36 caps for Senegal and 10 goals for the national side.

This move also marks Liverpool’s third most expensive transfer at a fee of £34 million upfront and another £2 million depending on Mane’s performance. Only Andy Carroll and Christian Benteke has been more expensive than Mane in the Liverpool History. Mane should make his own way through the club and not follow the footsteps of the top two.
