Marco Silva To Make 3 Big Changes – Predicted 3-4-2-1 Watford Line-Up To Face Huddersfield Town

Predicted Watford Line-up To Face Huddersfield Town In The Premier League

Watford will look to get back to winning ways, when they face off against Huddersfield Town, at the Vicarage Road on Saturday.

The Hornets, sitting at 9th position in the Premier League table after a promising start to the season under Marco Silva, have failed to win even one of their last four games. The Portuguese tactician will be keen on arresting the slide and building some momentum ahead of a busy fixture schedule by claiming all the three points against the Terriers on Saturday.

Team News

The team will be without midfielder Tom Cleverley and left-back Marvin Zeegelaar, both of whom are out due to suspensions. Star player Richarlison is a doubt for the clash following a groin problem he picked up in the midweek game, along with defenders Kiko Femenia and Miguel Britos. Will Hughes, Stefano Okaka, Isaac Success, Nathaniel Chalobah, Younes Kaboul, Craig Cathcart and Tommy Hoban are all definite absentees.

Here’s how the Hornets could take the field against David Wagner’s side:

Formation: 3-4-2-1

Manager: Marco Silva

Heurelho Gomes (GK)

The 36-year old Brazilian is the No.1 choice at the Vicarage Road and should start between the sticks on Saturday.

Adrian Mariappa (CB)

Given the number of injuries that Watford have, the 31-year old has been given a run in the side. Set to make his 7th consecutive league start.

Sebastian Prodl (CB)

In the middle of the three-man defence for the Hornets should be Austrian defender Sebastian Prodl. Should make his 7th Premier League appearance.

Daryl Janmaat

Christian Kabasele (CB)

Completing the backline for Silva’s side against Huddersfield should be Belgian centre-half Christian Kabasele.

Daryl Janmaat (RWB)

With Kiko Femenia a doubt, the Dutchman should once again start as the right-sided wing-back for the Hornets.

Etienne Capoue (CM)

The former Tottenham Hotspur man could be in line for a start on Saturday, owing to Tom Cleverley’s suspension.

Abdoulaye Doucoure (CM)

The Frenchman has been one of Watford’s best performers this season. A definite starter when fit and available.

Jose Holebas (LWB)

The veteran Greek defender should line up as the left wing-back for the weekend encounter, with Marvin Zeegelaar out suspended.

Roberto Pereyra

Andre Carrillo (RAM)

The Benfica loanee hasn’t been able to hit top gear since his summer move. No goals and just one assist in fifteen games –  he needs to do better.

Roberto Pereyra (LAM)

The former Juventus man should be back into the starting XI, as a replacement for Richarlison, who is a major doubt for the game.

Andre Gray (ST)

Another change that could be on the cards for the Hornets is club record signing Andre Gray coming in for Troy Deeney at the top of the attack.
