Manchester United’s Predicted Lineup To Face Bournemouth: Rashford Out Memphis In?

A very dramatic, yet an emotional game was played a couple of nights ago at Boleyn ground. Manchester United visited West Ham and the Hammers got the better of the Red Devils as they defeated van Gaal’s men by 3 goals to 2.

After leading the game through Anthony Martial, United let the opponents to score 2 goals inside 5 minutes and eventually gave away their chance to qualify for Champions League next season. Manchester United in their last Premier League fixture will be welcoming Eddie Howe’s (Bournemouth) men at Old Trafford. Bournemouth are well clear of the relegation zone, and very recently, they played a 1-1 draw at the Vitality stadium against West Brom.

Well, the last time these two sides met, it was Bournemouth who emerged victorious in the fixture as the side managed to defeat the Devils by 2 goals to 1. But, looking at both the clubs’ recent results, it is Manchester United who carries a strong hand in the fixture as the side have won 3 out of their last 6 games and have lost twice. Furthermore, Bournemouth has won just 1 game from his last six and have lost 4.

Here is the Predicted Lineup for Manchester United that could face Bournemouth this Saturday-

Goalkeeper: David de Gea-

The Spanish shot-stopper has been the number one player for the squad since past couple of years. He has managed 15 clean sheets this season and is in the contention to win the Barclays Golden Glove award this term. The Manchester United’s player of the year is surely going to start the next game for sure.

Defence: Valencia; Smalling; Blind; Fosu-Mensah-

Manchester United’s defence had a hard time to stop the wrath of West Ham United last time out, but the team will be looking to end the season with a bang. With Darmian out injured, Valencia will surely feature in the next game at the right back position. Smalling and Blind were rightly criticized for their lack of concentration in West Ham’s game, but the team has no great choice besides them either. Marcos Rojo is having one of his worst seasons in the sport and is doing nothing great for the team. He is very sloppy in his passing and lacks in his defensive capabilities all the time, and therefore, the Dutch manager might go with the fellow countryman Timothy Fosu-Mensah in the next game.

Midfielders: Lingard; Carrick; Rooney; Mata; Memphis-

Jesse Lingard was rested in the last game for United and hence, he might mark his entry in the next game and if the manager wants a good performance from the player, then he will deploy the Englishman on the flank rather than the number 10 position. With Schneiderlin’s performance against West Ham United going down the drain, the manager might go with Michael Carrick this time in the holding midfield position. Rooney was very weak and never looked like a leader in the last game for United, but he might get his start where he will be roaming in the central midfield to support the attack as well as the defence. Mata has been a consistent performer for the side throughout the season and he looks really well when deployed at number 10. In the team’s last game this season, the Dutch gaffer might use Memphis Depay in the wings to give him a last chance this season to showcase his talent.

Striker: Anthony Martial-

There was a huge doubt in the game against West ham over Martial’s fitness, but the boy came and scored a brace for the side. The manager might give Rashford a rest in the following game and use Anthony Martial as a striker instead.
