The appointment of Jose Mourinho as Manchester United’s new manager has raised concerns with regards to the future of key playmaker Juan Mata, whom Mourinho was more than happy to discard in the past. However, the future of Luke Shaw at Manchester United could be in doubt given that the young left-back rejected Mourinho before signing for Manchester United in 2014. The 20 year old met Mourinho in 2014 in a bid to make a move to his boyhood club Chelsea.
However, the meeting did not yield the best results as the player was apparently intimidated with Mourinho and hence decided to move to Old Trafford in a deal valued at £30 million.
Shaw has recently returned to full training after suffering from a double fracture last season and it remains to be seen if he would be keen to give working with “The Special One” another shot.
