Manchester United are set to make a move for Wolverhampton Wanderers’ England teenager Niall Ennis, sources have told ESPN FC. Ennis has grabbed the attention of a number of the Premier League’s top sides after impressing for both his club and country in recent months.
Ennis made his debut for Wolves’ under-21’s last season when he was just 15-year-old and has been training with the first team since then. It is believed that the Red Devils are expected to splash in in excess of $1.5 million to sign the forward. After some top performances, Ennis was rewarded with a National cap last month and went on to score a goal against Portugal Under-17 on his debut.
Apart from United, clubs like Chelsea and Manchester City are also interested in signing the player but United are favourites to sign him after keeping tabs on him for a while. It is very evident that United manager Louis Van Gaal is building a team for the future.
