Manchester United have given an official update on defender Luke Shaw, who was stretched off during the club’s Champions League game against PSV Eindhoven last night. Luke Shaw suffered a broken leg due to a harsh tackle from PSV’s Hector Moreno.
The injury looked nasty and Shaw is set to be out for the season. All the players and fans wished him a speedy recovery through social media. Earlier today, Manchester United have released an official statement on Shaw’s injury in their site. It said that the English defender underwent a surgery in Netherlands last night and will continue to stay in the hospital to continue his recovery.
United’s official statement read:
Luke Shaw underwent surgery on his injury on Tuesday night and will remain in hospital in Eindhoven to continue his early recovery.
Manchester United are grateful for the excellent care he is receiving and would like to thank everyone who has sent messages of support.
