A rumor is spreading amongst the United’s side of Manchester about Joao Mario’s connection with the club. According to the reports, Manchester United are keeping an eye on Portuguese International Joao Mario. The 23-year-old plays in the central midfield position for Sporting Lisbon and has scored 9 goals in his 75 appearances for the club. He debuted for the Portuguese side in 2012 and has been a key player since then.
It’s not the immediate action over the player, the club has been monitoring him since last November and has shown their interest in the player after his amazing performance in Portugal’s friendly with Luxembourg back in November 2015.
But, Sporting will surely put huge money on his head if United or any club wants to sign him up. Joao Mario is currently valued at €12m and surely his side will demand much more than this. Joao is an impressive player and also an important part of the Sporting team. Mario is a tireless worker and a possessor of a strong right foot. He can deliver lethal passes and can set his teammate for an open run. He has an amazing shooting accuracy of 67% and an average passing accuracy of 77%. A complete central midfielder he has an eye for goal.
But there has been a news that not just Manchester United, but Inter Milan and Atletico have been tracking the player after his brilliant form.
Sporting will hesitate to let this young man leave their squad especially when they are having a 15-year dry spell without a domestic title in Portugal which explains why the team gave him an improved contract until 2020. We just have to wait where this young man will join and commits his future.
