Manchester United Handed Over A Massive €16m Boost!

Carlo Ancelotti

A report that was doing the rounds that Carlo Ancelotti is about to join Zenit St Petersburg has been denied by the club officials. It probably comes as a relief to both Andres Villas Boas, their current manager, as well as Manchester United, who are said to be interested in the Italian.

A report was published in a Russian newspaper saying that Ancelotti has agreed to a €16m a year deal with the club. However the club officials denied any such deals stating it as “incorrect”.

Carlo Ancelotti is a popular candidate to replace Van Gaal, alongside Pep Guardiola. This news, therefore will come as a relief to the English club and its supporters knowing their options are still available. Ancelotti is one of the two coaches to win Champions League thrice along with Bob Paisley. He has won trophies in Italy, France, Spain and England making him one of the very highly rated managers in European football and his availability is of no small matter.

Earlier this month, he also expressed interest in managing Manchester united. He had mentioned that any coach would like to take up the United job. Will he be the one? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
