Transfer Worry For Arsenal As Highly Rated Target Suffers Injury

Celta Vigo winger, Nolito, 29 has been a subject of interest from Arsenal in the January transfer window. Having lost several players in the midfield, Arsenal were looking to make a move for Nolito to reinforce their chances of winning the title after 10+ years. However the winger limped off at the 87th minute mark in his side’s win over Espanyol.

Mundo Deportivo has reported that the injury could derail the winter transfer plans. If injured, the transfer will be very unlikely given that Arsenal needs players ready for action. This is due to several Arsenal players currently injured. Santi Carzola, Francis Coquelin, Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta and Alexis Sanchez are all recovering from some type of injury or the other.

Wenger has stated that he will sign a player if a good deal is available. Though he will probably need to act fast in matters of Nolito since Barcelona are also interested in the services of the winger. It is reported that the Camp Nou boss Luis Enrique is plotting a move for the midfielder.
