Liverpool’s Best XI (4-3-3) To Face Stoke City

Premier League comes back with a new match day in which top 4 teams will be looking to close the gap with the current leaders, Chelsea. Liverpool is one of those teams, as the Reds lost valuable points a couple of weeks ago, and now it’s time to quickly bounce back and get closer to Chelsea on the table. This week, they’re facing Stoke City in an interesting match. Heading this game, we’ll try to figure out which players will be used in Klopp’s gameplan for this match.

Formation: 4-3-3

Simon Mignolet: Mignolet had a great game against Everton, and considering how poorly Loris Karius has performed in his recent outings, the German keeper is set for a long spell on the bench.

Nathaniel Clyne: Clyne is having a good season in Liverpool colours as he has displayed great performances in both attack and in defence.

Dejan Lovren: Liverpool’s second best defender is always ready to defend for his team and the ball-playing centre-back has earned Klopp’s trust with some outstanding performances this season.

Joel Matip: Matip was in a great shape when he got injured, and now he’ll try to get back his defensive authority playing in the starting squad and sending Ragnar Klavan back to the bench.

James Milner: Milner is a sort of remedy to the failures of Liverpool left-backs. His accuracy with set pieces and penalties is an added bonus.

Jordan Henderson: The captain has shown great things this season, and one of the most memorable is the goal against Chelsea. Since Gerrard left Liverpool, many people doubted about Henderson, but he has demonstrated that he can be an important player for this team.

Georginio Wijnaldum: The Dutch player has been on a roller-coaster since his arrival at Anfield. Lately, he is picking up form and he should be the midfield partner to play alongside Henderson.

Adam Lallana: Lallana has become a regular player in this team. Since Coutinho won’t be playing the game, the English star has to take team’s most of the playmaking duties on his shoulder. His recent performances show that he is the right candidate for the job.

Sadio Mane: The Speed merchant has the habit of scoring few breathtaking/ match-winning goals. Fans will be expecting another explosive display from the former Southampton man.

Roberto Firmino: Firmino is another part of Liverpool triangle of success (with Mane and Coutinho). Roberto started his journey at Anfield with doubts, but he is now the focal point of Liverpool’s attack.

Daniel Sturridge: Sturridge was the real deal against Everton and made a real impact in that game which should earn him another start for the Reds even though Jurgen Klopp has often preferred to use him as a primary backup off the bench.
