Liverpool vs Norwich Player Ratings + Highlights

Share

Liverpool ran riot over Norwich City and kept up their recent impressive record against the Canaries. Luis Suarez got on the score sheet but was not able to score his third hat-trick against them. The Reds have climbed up to 7th place in the table with that win.

Here are the player ratings.

Brad Jones – The simplest of games for the former Middlesbrough man. Had no sort of trouble throughout the best part of the game. 7/10

Glen Johnson – Turning more in to a winger rather than his usual position these days. Another impressive performance from Johnson. Was some what a part of Gerrard’s goal as his dribble forward freed up space for the Reds Captain. 7.5/10

Daniel Agger – A strong and an impressive performances once again by the Liverpool centre back. Was brilliant it stopping Norwich’ forward runs, kept check of  Snodgrass  and Holt through the entire game. 7.5/10

Jamie Carragher – What a game to come in and play for the Liverpool veteran. A decent performance helping out Agger when needed. 7/10

Andre Wisdom – A matured performance from the youngster, never gave away the ball and was calm in his duties.  He whipped in a few crosses into the danger zone and showed a couple of great touches for someone his age playing in a defensive role. 7.5/10

Steven Gerrard – One of the matches where nothing went wrong for the Liverpool captain. Scored a beauty of a goal and was all over the turf helping out his team mates, a true Captains performance by Steven Gerrard. 8/10

Jordan Henderson – What a way to get your first premier league goal. A thumping drive by Henderson to kick off things for the Reds. He looked dangerous at times with the late runs into the box in the absence of Suarez and Sturridge. Has to work hard to keep up his good work. 7.5/10

Lucas – Liverpool surely missed the Brazilian in the first half of the season. A man whose presence is always an additional steel in the midfield. Managed to get an assist for Suarez 7/10

Stewart Downing – A much better improved performance from Downing. He kept the Norwich defence on their toes as everyone is weary of what he is capable of from distance, which opened up space for the rest of his team mates 7/10

Daniel Sturridge – What an impressive piece of business Liverpool have managed to pull off with Sturridge. Scored in all of his appearances for them after his arrival at Anfield. Scored a pretty easy goal, but more importantly did a neat dummy to set up Suarez goal. 8/10

Luis Suarez – He was all over the pitch and the link up play between him and Sturridge was more than impressive squandering the thoughts from the fans about starting both the forwards. 8/10
