According to Spanish paper AS, Liverpool is readying a £19m Summer bid for Athletico Madrid midfielder Arda Turan.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has been impressed with Turan’s recent performances and marked the player as high priority in summer transfer window.
The Turkish midfielder was first linked with Arsenal in January, but a deal did not materialize and with Brendan Rodgers planning to strengthen his squad in the summer Turan could fit well in his plans.
Turan’s agent Ahmet Bulut added fuel to all the speculations by saying,
“Arda has played at Atletico Madrid for two seasons now. I have wanted to see him play for another team in another league and Arda wants the same.”
“I can’t say the league or you’ll know exactly who I’m talking about but let’s just put it like this, there are only 5-6 clubs which could afford Arda right now and he’s going to join one of these five clubs.”
