Daniel Sturridge took to Instagram after the news of his injury had broken out through some reliable sources confirming it. The extent of the injury is estimated to keep the Liverpool player on the sidelines for at least six weeks.
Sturridge himself has assured the fans that he will be “back before you know it” and attempted to display confidence in returning stronger. “I’ll never lose faith in God or belief in myself. Always light at the end of the tunnel.” is a part of the message he sent out to the Liverpool fans who have become increasingly impatient with his injury issues.
Many of the fans happen to share similar thoughts to that of ex Liverpool manager Brendan Rogers that Daniel Sturridge has become unreliable and more of a liability than solution to their attacking lineup. This was indicated by the signing of Roberto Firmino and Christian Benteke during the summer transfer window.
The Liverpool forward has been laden with injuries in recent years and has sat out 32 games between September 2014 to January 2015. This has made many of the Liverpool fans believe that Sturridge is no longer able to contribute towards the team.
