Why Liverpool Should Splash £20m On This Celtic Hotshot In January

Share

Every single team in Europe is looking for young talents to improve their sides for many, many years to come right now, so scouts are working overtime in order to finally find the best starlet across the world, as youngsters are the biggest tendency right now.

So, specifically, Premier League sides are keen to bring some young blood to their teams to face this second half of the season, as they need to improve several areas of their bench, or even their starting squad in order to make a run at the title.

One starlet that’s currently being scouted by no less than half a dozen teams is Celtic’s French wonder kid Moussa Dembele, as the young lad  has turned a lot of heads thanks to his performances during this year’s UEFA Champions League group stage.

Even despite Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers’ denial and even the youngster’s statement about him going nowhere, there have been several reports that state that a 20 million pound offer could make the Scottish side change it’s mind, and Liverpool has emerged as the main frontrunner to acquire the services of the lad.

The Reds are having an outstanding season but they have been recently hurt by injuries from Adam Lallana (who’s set to return any time soon), Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho and on top of that, they’re going to be without star newcomer Sadio Mane due to African Cup duties, so it’s only natural to think that they’re going to be very aggressive during this winter transfer window.

The 20-year-old from France has emerged as one of the top prospects in Europe right now, scoring 15 goals in 21 appearances for Celtic so far this season, completely demolishing opposing defences and even making Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City suffer during their visit to Scotland a couple of months ago.

Even if the youngster prefers to play as the main focus on offence inside the box, his mobility and speed make it a great choice near the sidelines as well and considering Roberto Firmino’s more than capable to play on either side of the field, he could be a great addition to Klopp’s offence.

He’s a very talented finisher and passer, and he definitely fits Klopp style more than Daniel Sturridge, who is mightily struggling this year and could even be on his way out of Anfield Road anytime soon.

Even if he tends to overdo some things on offence at times, there’s a lot of great things that this youngster does with great ease and Jurgen Klopp seems like the perfect guy to help this lad develop his outstanding potential, as he did during his Borussia Dortmund incredible tenure.

Moussa could be a perfect fit for the Reds if they intend to replace Mane during his national team duty, and even when the forward returns, he could have a very important role with this fast-paced offensive side, so Jurgen Klopp and his team should totally pursue him.
